No-kill animal shelter and low-cost spay/neuter clinic, located in Tomball, Texas, in the greater Northwest Houston area. We believe all pets deserve to be treated humanely. Our mission is to end the unnecessary euthanasia of helpless animals and to place them in permanent homes for the duration of their lives. In addition we are here to properly educate about responsible pet ownership.

Without the Communities Support it would not be possible to help animals like likes these pictured. AAR does not have a Veterianarian on staff. AAR has found a few Veterianarians in the area that are willing to help shelter animals at a little discount. If you would like to donate every little bit helps.

UPDATE:9-6-11Chevron is doing wonderful in his foster home. This poor guy does have Heartworms, Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids. He needs a permanent home so his foster Mom can foster other deserving cats. As you know he will need to go to a home without cats or with cats that
have Feline Leukemia and Aids. It will take a few weeks to gain his trust. He loves his foster Mom but with starngers he still hisses but has never bitten. He likes to be held in your arms with his head laying on your shoulder while purring.
Call Angie if interested 832-203-3637
Updated 6-22-11: Mercury was able to have her emergency surgery at A&M because an AAR supporter donated half of the $2,600.00 bill.
This is because he needed help bad, he had an abscess on the side of his face that was infected and as you can see he was in bad shape. He is in a foster home and is recovering very well. He still is a little leery and hisses but does not bite. Chevron does have heartworms, Feline Leukemia, and has had a few teeth pulled and is waiting on blood work. Will keep you updated and hopefully he can be adopted one day soon.
.was ran over by it. She was refered to Texas A&M and she has to have a 3,000.00 surgery. Her back right femur bone is broken into and will need a plate put in to hold it together. Along with a fractured hip which means the femoral head bone has to be cut off. Then the tissue will grow around to help support the femur bone in place.
She is such a sweetheart and is doing very well in a foster home. She will be crated for 6 weeks while under going physical therapy.
UPDATE 9-9-11 Mercury has been in a foster home recovering nicely. She has turned into a beautiful sweet loving girl. She will always walk with a little limp but is not in pain. She will have her last check up at A&M on 9-19-11.
All should check out well and will be ready for adoption. She is great with other dogs, she does have allot of energy the leg does not slow her down. She is crate trained and sleeps throught the night with her TV on.
